Vascular laser for vessels
Superficial leg vessels, red/purple or blue in color, can be treated quickly and effectively with our powerful 1064 nm Nd-yag laser, possibly in combination with the 755 nm Alexandrite laser. The laser light is absorbed by blood in the vessel, converting the energy into heat. This ensures that the source is destroyed. During the treatment, it feels like short, warm touches on the skin.
Safe and effective: the superficial vessels have no functional role, they can therefore be removed safely without damaging the surrounding skin tissue.
Comfort: the skin is continuously cooled with cold air. This ensures that the treatment is easy to maintain.
Result: our 1064nm Nd-Yag laser works fast and powerful. The damaged vessel is cleaned up by the body, a process that can take 8 weeks. After about 8 weeks, the results will be visible.

How many treatments are required?
Depending on the size of the area and the vessels, an average of 2 to 5 treatments are required for best results. The treatments are performed every 8 weeks.
Who performs the treatment?
The treatments are always performed by a higher professional education qualified skin therapist. Our practice is affiliated with the Dutch Association of Skin Therapists (NVH) and meets the requirements of the Paramedics Quality Register (KP).
How do you get leg vessels?
The vessels are often red, purple or blue in color and are visible in the skin. The red to purple colored vessels are closer to the surface, while the blue/purple ones lie deeper in the skin. Leg vessels can develop spontaneously, but sometimes there is also a hereditary predisposition to varicose veins. Various factors can contribute to the development of leg vessels, such as heredity, a standing job, pregnancy or certain disorders that affect the vascular wall.
Is the treatment painful?
During the treatment, we use the cryo-cooling system to increase comfort. The skin is thus continuously cooled with cold air.
Do I need maintenance treatments?
The removed vessels will not come back. However, factors such as heredity, a standing job or pregnancy can always create new vessels. In that case, maintenance treatments may be desirable.
Is it possible to remove large varicose veins?
In case of larger varicose veins or a possible underlying problem, we recommend that you first make an appointment with a phlebologist (vascular doctor) for further examination.
