Will my skin flake after a medical peel?
This varies by peeling type and skin type. The recovery time of a superficial peel is an average of 1 to 4 days. With a deeper peeling, it can be about 5-7 days. The skin is (slightly) red after treatment and may flake for a few days. Of course, we will advise you what you can best do after every treatment.
What does your skin look like after a peel?
Immediately after peeling, your skin has a pink or red color. This slowly wears off during the day after the treatment. If you still need to go somewhere after the treatment, our skin therapist can apply some camouflage for you.
Does your skin need to recover from a peel?
Yes, your skin needs some recovery time after treatment. On the day of the treatment, we recommend keeping your skin out of direct sunlight, not exercising and not visiting a sauna or steam bath.
How many treatments do I need?
Depending on your skin problem and condition, we recommend multiple treatments for the desired result. This is difficult to predict without seeing your skin. We'd love to invite you for a free skin scan!
